So many of my clients think they have to go shopping all the time even though they already have tons of clothes.
They have clothes with the tags still on them, clothes they haven’t touched in months (or even years); accessories they’ve never worn a single time. They complain about not having any money or that their husbands are continually nagging them to clean out the closet.
If you’re someone who consistently shops but still complains about having nothing to wear, you may have a closet problem.
The problem isn’t that your closet is disorganized (although it may be), the problem is that you’ve been staring into your closet for so long that you’ve lost perspective. You don’t even know what’s in there anymore.
As your Personal Brand Strategist, I can help you get that perspective back by showing you the unique treasures that have been hiding in plain sight.
Shop Your Home Boutique
When I walk into someone’s house, it’s like I’m walking into a brand-new boutique full of unique jewelry, accessories, clothing, and shoes.
We look at everything the client owns and together we discover new ways of using what is already there. I will help by mixing and matching pieces to create outfits they might have never considered.
I was working with a woman a few weeks ago whose closet was full of black clothes. In her case, this wasn’t a bad thing. She looked good in black, and as a retiree, she could afford to keep her personal brand simple.
However, she had tons of color in her accessories. She just wasn’t wearing any of it. Why? Because she wasn’t sure about how to mix and match. She didn’t know which necklace looked best with which neckline or when to swap a piece of jewelry for a scarf. I started pulling accessories from out of her closet and showed her multiple different outfits that worked with each one.
Make the Most of Your Wardrobe
If you wear the same two or three pieces to the office every day, I can understand how you may get bored with them. The solution to this boredom is not to go out and buy a ton of new items. The answer is to get more out of the pieces you already own by matching them up with different accessories.

This might mean pairing your favorite black dress with those colorful heels you’ve only worn once since buying them a year ago. Or maybe a different jacket or even a hat.
For some people, this can feel like a significant undertaking, especially if you don’t know how to mix and match or if, like so many women I know, you’re afraid of wearing color.
I can teach you how to substantially upgrade your wardrobe and appearance without ever leaving the house.
How a Personal Brand Strategist Can Help
I’ve been working to help clients shop their home boutiques for years, and they’re consistently amazed to discover how versatile their existing wardrobes are.
I’m not a closet organizer, so what I won’t do is come to your home, clean out your closet and develop an organizing system to keep you on track.
What I will do, is help you look at the closet you have with fresh eyes. You can stop wasting money on clothes you don’t need, might not like, and may never wear.
