A Core Aspect of Real Beauty Starts with Great Self-Esteem
I was watching Good Morning American recently and they had a segment on a Dove campaign about women and how they see themselves and how others see them. It was quite interesting and inspired me to address self-esteem since I see this all the time in my work. It motivated me to put in place my image consulting service for women.
It’s important to learn as much as I can about my clients such as how you want to be perceived and how do you want others to perceive you. It doesn’t matter if you are a CEO, Real Estate Agent, Politician, Entrepreneur, Executive, Author, Professional Speaker or a stay at home mom, everyone seems to have some insecurities. Those insecurities tend to have us comparing ourselves to others.
Embrace your Own Unique Beauty
We are all unique individuals with special gifts to offer the world but we get so caught up in what others think of us, rather than making an impact in the world. As woman we get so fixed on our negative attributes and don’t acknowledge our positive features. We will nit- pick things about our hair, face, body, weight and even our clothes we wear. (“You mean this old thing; I’ve had this for years”). Nobody cares!
If you are paid a compliment except it, say “Thank You”.
Start acknowledging your positive assets, such as beautiful hair, nice lips, and curvy hips. Find something good to say about yourself, stop focusing on what you perceive to be negative attributes and start focusing on your beauty.
Embrace you own uniqueness, when you do this your confidence will increase and your self- esteem will go up. People will begin to see you as you want them to.
Take your first step today, look in the mirror and find something positive to say about yourself, because if you don’t no one else will either. Isn’t it time to celebrate your uniqueness? Read The Power is in the Pearl and make a postitive statement when you walk in the room.
